I bought this for the wife for Christmas based on Consumer Reports top rating. It makes great coffee at a reasonable speed. One of our biggest concerns is the quality of pouring. I must say the carafe design is fantastic because you never spill a drop. The only thing my wife would improve is lighting the clock, it can be hard to see. The black chrome finish is gorgeous.

Received this as a gift and love it. We drink "tons" of coffee. This is the first coffee maker that has lasted me for more than a year. The coffee stays hot and it is easy to clean. If these ever does die, I would definately purchase a new one.

I have owned this machine for 7+ years, and it is still going strong and we use it every day. The coffee tastes exquisite, it you love superb coffee, this machine is the one. It keeps the coffee hot, the programmer is easy to use, and very dependable. I have owned many different brands of coffee makers and none have ever lasted as long as this one. In fact, it seemed like I was buying a new machine every year, but not any more. When I bought mine, it was higher in price, so I consider this price a steal. So, if you're in the market for a new coffee maker, rest assured, this will be a great choice for you.

I have had this coffee maker for over a year now. Before, like most of us out here. I thought that a coffee maker was a coffee maker. Not True! This coffee maker made a believer out of me. I had never tasted such GREAT, flavorful coffee. I also use less coffee in this maker than the other brands. I have never regretted buying my Cuisinart Coffee maker. It is very easy to set up and use. I love that I can change the auto shut off time I want anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. And I get to choose the burner temp low, medium, or high. I love this coffee maker and would recommend it to anyone looking for GOOD coffee.

This is my second Cuisinart coffeemaker. I just ordered the same one because we like it so much. Coffee is never "cooked" while keeping hot . Easy to adjust dials and directions. Improved basket adjustment, had to jiggle basket into the right spot (it was minor) on the first one. This newer model is very easy .Good looking also. We really love it as we do most of our Cuisinart products!

This coffee maker is easy to use and set up. All the controls are on the front, easily to reach and well labeled. It's look is slick, modern and completely contained.In my case it looks built in on a black onyx counter top. The charcoal filter helps create flavorless water that is so important in good coffee.
The largest flaw in in the basic design. The closed design does not separate the water tank from the brewing process. Grounds can wash back into the fresh water at times and cause stoppage or slowing of water flow. This can even cause the heaters to be blocked completely. The most common cause is grounds build up above the removable filter. It is important to keep the brew area clean and to rinse out the water tank at first signs that it may have grounds in the water.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: my knives
Favorite Brand: several would serve

This replaced a higher priced machine that broke down 3 months after the warranty expired. It works very well, especially on small amount brewing, but does not heat the coffee to the level that the previous machine did (Cuisinart) but a quick zap in the microwave gets it to where we like it. The biggest complaint is the gold filter basket has a much larger screen than our previous machine and allows a lot of small grounds into the coffee (think sludge). We grind our beans daily but even increasing the size of the grind did not help. Simply switching to paper filters did however cure this problem. If it will last for the life of the warranty we will be happy.

I purchased this Brew Central after my new coffeemaker wouldn't keep the coffee hot. I remembered that my daughter had this same model for several years and it always made a good brew and kept the coffee hot. With 3 heat settings you can't go wrong. I love the black matte color also and the filter basket that comes with it so you don't have to use paper filters. All in all , a great purchase and I know it will last for years.

The taste of the coffee is great, I like that there is a carbon filter for the water, and that all the major parts are replaceable, so if something breaks I don't have to purchase a whole new machine. Also it has an internal battery such that if the power goes out shortly, it still knows what time it is when the power returns (found out the hard way). The only con was that the cord is short so I had to rearrange some appliances on my countertop to fit it.

Makes the best tasting coffee that i've had from a consumer coffee maker. I do have to agree with others, that to fill it with water is a little more difficult than some brands.But not enough so to detract from the overall advantages.

After trying many different coffee makers, we purchased this one. It was a glorious surprise that the sides were also chrome and it is a gleeming addition to our counter.
The coffee tastes great, is super hot, very easy to program and (drumroll) you can actually easily pour the water in without spilling any AND when pouring the coffee, the spout is dripless!! Many some can appreciate how terrific that is!!

This was a poorly constructed product. The water level indicator was near to impossible to read as it is inside of the product and black...ridiculous! Overpriced. I have seen better products for 29.99. Stay away!!

When my last cofeemaker died after 7 yrars I researched my options and chose this model. Have only had it a few weeks and so far I am very pleased. I like the looks. I like the functionality and the coffee tastes great. I'd probably give it a 5 star if I had longer to use it.

I got the unit that was matte black and it is truly handsome.
The coffee maker is very customer friendly, easy to use. We love the "retro" look and switch. Easy to clean and makes a great tasting, hot cup of coffee.
