This is a great buy as it can be used for more than baking pizzas which it does a wonderful job of - chilled it makes a great serving tray for cheese. I have also used it to bake small handmade rolls on as it gives them a wonderful crust . For best results be sure to warm up first in oven before baking.

Excellent Pizza Stone

This pizza stone is, as all All-Clad products, elegant, heavy duty, and works quite well for the intended purpose - perfect crispy crusts. In the past I have used cheap clay pizza stones which, although effective, have their share of problems - circular stones, when similar in size to the pizza, are hard to remove from the oven without crushing the edges, large square stones can be hard to wash like cookie sheets in small sinks, and overall clay stones i have found are very sensitive to temperature change and have a shorter than desired life. By contrast this pizza stone is a great size, has comfortable All-Clad handles that dont get nearly as hot as the marble or a clay pizza stone, and the outer ring keeps the burning hot marble elevated from whatever surface it touches. The marble is extremely effective as a conductive surface, allowing it to get super hot and crisp pizza well or chill it and use it as a cheese tray. The pizza cutter, while a nice accessory, and very comfortable, has what i think is a mediocre attachment point for the wheel and thus it doesnt roll as smooth as other pizza cutters i've used. In all this product is a great bargain which will last for years.
Note: the marble can take a while to heat, especially if its cold out, so think about placing it in the oven before you put the pizza on to warm it up.

This is pretty pricey, other stones also work well. If you make homemade pizza, you will love the extra crispness that a pizza stone gives. It can also be used to bake crisp cookies. Be careful, this stone CAN break.
