Have been using this for years
June 25, 2009 Twygefrom Wilmington, NC
Pros: capacity, Cord length, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to store, easy to use, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, Performs Well, quality, size, Value for Money, Weight
"I don't remember when I purchased my current mini-prep, but it was about 8 years ago. Admittedly, it is my second one. The last one, the rotating mechanism died. I think it might have been my fault, as I was chopping rather tough bread cubes and should have used the grind. This is great for smaller amounts that don't do so well in a large processor, or just when you don't want to get the large one dirty. . I use it often for garlic when I don't have time to mince with a knife. I have also processed small amounts of sauces, dressings and condiments. Great for making breadcrumbs, just use the grind choice if the cubes are hard. It takes up very little counter space and the scraper that comes with it is very handy for getting out every bit of food. Very easy to clean and the parts are dishwasher safe. Even if it dies tomorrow, which I don't anticipate, it is a great deal for the price and I would replace it."

Must Have For Small Families
April 4, 2009 vhfvhffrom Hixson, TN
"I used to think, "who needs a food processor" when you just create small quantities. Wrong! This saves so much time, even when multiple batches are necessary such as cole slaw chopping (cabbage). It's easy to clean and store."

February 17, 2009 Whtbearfrom Chicago
Pros: no blade changing the one dose it all.
"Having this model for five plus years it has proved to be the right size for day to day lunch to dinner meal prepping. Chop & mince have the power and speed needed to get the food in the oven after a long day at work."

Handy tool
January 31, 2009 tanners12from Minneapolis
Pros: chops anything Cons: small bowl
"This is a great accessory for any cook. Small, but super useful. I use it for chopping nuts, pureeing vegetables, crunching graham crackers (less mess than rolling out), and onions. Be careful though, it will pulverize things in no time, so if you want bigger cuts you have to go slow and watch. Also have a spatula handy, because you'll need it to wipe out the bowl, too small to get hands in there. Also be careful for the blade when you take it out to wash - it is very sharp!"

Definite necessity
January 30, 2009 DKFDfrom Ithaca, NY
Pros: easy to clean, small size
"This mini food-processor is an amazing time saver. It is very effective at chopping smaller volume items such as fresh herbs, onions, etc. in very little time. On top of this, Its size makes it much easier/faster to clean or to fit into a dishwasher."

Better than smaller chopper
January 8, 2009 Murphyfrom Bronx, NY
"This chopper is one fine tool. I not only have this model but the smaller version which I found added more work than it was worth. The Cuisinart mini prep is just the right size for grinding graham crackers that I use a lot for my homemade cheesecakes. The crumbs are grinded to perfection in 2 to 3 bowls, rather than 7 to 8 bowls previously. I recommend it highly!"

Love it
January 8, 2009 blondie61from Tampa FL
"I got this before the work bowl was made larger and the only con I had was that the bowl could stand to be bigger. I use it to crush cookies for cheesecake crust. Just a few chocolate cookies, chop then grind and voila! cookie crust!"

Every Kitchen needs a mini-prep
January 8, 2009 MusicDadfrom NoVa
"This little item is an essential for every kitchen. You do not need to be a cook to appreciate it. We make salsas, sauces, dips, dressings, marinades and just chop vegetables. Unlike the full-size Cuisinart processor and all of itsblades, this item can stay out on the counter - even in a small kitchen. Power is plenty sufficient to do what we have asked of it. A quick rinse is all that is needed it using for multiple items or dishes for a meal. We worry about any plastic bowls cracking (as our full-sized one has), but this has held together for many more uses."

Lovely litttle prep machine
January 8, 2009 subeastfrom Hercules, CA
Pros: easy to clean Cons: a bit too light.
"Very nice size for small to medium jobs. It has a good size bowl. Really nice when you don't need the big processor. Looks nice on the counter, but is small enough to store easily. Really easy to clean. Does it's job well. Wish it was a bit heavier, it sometimes feels like it will spin off the counter."

Surprisingly powerful and versatile
January 8, 2009 MamaBearfrom Bad Axe, MI
"I generally prefer to do most jobs by hand, and I initially bought this little gadget just to do some of the messier chopping/mixing jobs like fresh salsa. But have found that it actually handles tougher jobs quite well. I use it to make pesto, hummus, and many other chopping/blending jobs. Having the reversible blade movement for chop versus grind really helps with thorough blending of whatever I'm making. It's small and portable, which makes it handy for moving to where you want to work. I can heartily recommend it!"
