I wanted a new pot that I could make my caramel candies and not have it burn on the bottom. This pot is heavy enough and did a great job at the high heat needed. When it reached the correct temperature it poured right out of the pan with nothing sticking. Clean up was a breeze--no soaking or scubbing to get the burnt on candy on the bottom off. Love it. Will be great for my large quantities of spaghetti sauce and chili that I make and freeze.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, quality, Material, Warranty, easy to use, True to Color, even cooking, Heat distribution, multi-purpose, construction, size, Tight-fitting lid, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, Weight, capacity
Cons: would have like all colors available for this size
I have the heavy Le Creuset pots and love them, but when I saw the blue stock, I knew I just had to have it. Wow, what a difference it makes having a good one. I have had several large, cheap metal ones, where everything sticks and is hard to clean. they dint, they ding. yuck. the Le Creuset heats evenly and it is easier to clean. I'm hooked, may have to buy a smaller one to match "Big Blue"
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, quality, easy to use, True to Color, even cooking, Heat distribution, Appearance/ Design /Style, Heat retention, Performs Well
Le Creuset never disappoints and this addition to my collection is more than worth the price I paid for it. It's solid construction and perfectly fitting lid makes preparation of even the most exacting stocks a dream come true. I prepare beef, chicken, fish and vegetable stocks every month for later use so I have used this item 6 times in the two weeks I have had it. I have stored all my other stock pots now that I have this one. Outstanding does not say enough.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, Stay-cool handle, Variety of Colors, quality, Material, Warranty, easy to use, True to Color, even cooking, Heat distribution, multi-purpose, construction, size, Tight-fitting lid, Heat retention, Appearance/ Design /Style, non-stick, Performs Well, easy to store, durability, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, Weight, capacity

I was impressed by the overall finish on this stockpot, but after turning it over and scraping off the "made in Thailand" sticker and another sticker that simply would not come off without the product "Goo Off", I noticed a huge indent in the bottom plate of the stockpot, which would inevitably cause uneven cooking. The knob on the pot was crazy loose, which I could fix, but I cannot fix the ding in the bottom, so I'm returning for a refund. This pot was on sale, and probably for a reason... My other Le Creuset products, (made in France) are awesome, but this one was a let down right out of the box! Can I just send a note out to manufacturer's everywhere? Please do not use overly adhesive sticker's, especially on the bottom of your product, where one has to damage the unit just to get the sticker off before first use! This is a real peeve for me! I should not have to use Goo Off or Acetone to remove a sticker! This happens all the time, especially on a plastic product! It's damaged before first use! Sorry, Le Creuset, this model is a FAIL in my kitchen. I truly love your products, except for this unit.

This pot is a gift for my wife. She had a cheap stockpot and was delighted with the Le Creuset. She has several Le Creuset cast iron vessels and is very pleased with the weight and ease of use for a larger stockpot. The pot is very attractive - for a pot - which is a plus as her cookware is stored in the open on shelves. We live in a smallish log cabin in Northern Michigan so we like to have high quality versatile items since we don't have space for a lot of specialty pots/pans/utensils.

I broke in my new pot by cooking beans all day. There was no burning and the pot was very easy to clean. I am very pleased with it. The price was a little high but it's probably worth it. I expect that it will hold up and wear very well because it feels extremely sturdy.
Pros: even cooking, construction, capacity, Easy to Clean/Wash

Worth Another try

I was so excited to receive my 12 qt Le Creuset pot with Fall coming to make many soups and stews. But when I removed it from the box, I notice the lid had a lot of give and rocked on the pot. I called Chefs and was tranfered to a product specialist. She explained that it should create a "sticky lid" . So I experimented with bowling water. No sticky lid. The CSR even called me back. So I returned - for an exchange. I think is was a manufacturer defect and I am willing to give Le Crueset another try, I have heard they are such good products. I was extremely impressed with the customer service I received.
Pros: multi-purpose, Appearance/ Design /Style
Cons: Loose-fitting lid, defective

Nice Stockpot

Was looking for a larger stockpot than my current 8 quart and the price was right on this LeCreuset. Though not as heavy as my LeCreuset dutch oven, the pot heated up nicely and the size is perfect for making soups. Tried it for the first time the day after Christmas and it was great. Most importantly, clean up with the enameled interior was a snap!! There are less expensive stock pots out there, but I believe this one will be durable and stand the test of time. Plus in Cobalt, it just looks good on the stove!!

This has been great so far. The only issue, and not one I think much about, is that you can't use metal ladels in the pot.
Beautiful color and excellent quality cookware at terrific price.
