My husband is a professional chef; he has wanted a LeCruset French Oven for our home for years; however, he would not indulge in this "luxury".
For Christmas this year, I gave him this large French Oven.
1. He loved his Christmas gift.
2. Truly makes a difference in how stews/meats/meals taste. The even distribution of the heat makes a significant impact on taste and cooking time. You can also hold a meal much longer without ruining it. He prepared 4 superb meals in the first week.
3. I like how easy it is to clean.
Pros: even heat didtribution improves taste, easy to clean, looks great too

Even though this is a pricey item. The Le Creuset French Oven has by far been the best purchase I have ever made. I have used my french oven for Osso Bucco, soups and even my pot sticking scalloped potatoes. The pot cleaned up with little or no soaking each time.
I will definitely continue to add Le Creuset to my collection of cookware.

i have been looking at these French ovens by Le Creuset for a long time, so finally bought one with my Christmas money. Made a big batch of homemade chicken soup, and loved the way it sauteed the vegetables first, then simmered and not boiled. I ordered the 9 quart for smaller batches of things, and cleared lots of space in my kitchen bookshelf unit, getting rid of all those cookbooks I don't need, and now I can enjoy them every day. Yes they are heavy...I just have to change how I do things a little bit. I know you've been looking at them, too. You know you want one.
Pros: even cooking, Heat distribution, multi-purpose, construction, Performs Well, durability, capacity, Easy to Clean/Wash, quality, Appearance/ Design /Style, Long-lasting

I thought he had lost his mind!

I cook Seafood Gumbo every Christmas and a few other times during the year .This past Christmas the cleanup was worse than ever. The Gumbo had burned on the bottom again! My husband new what a time I was having. The next thing I knew he had ordered this 13 quart Le Creuset Round French Oven. I thought he had lost his mind! Until this pot I had never had any of the Le Creuset bake wear. My Gumbo is cooked on top of an electric stove all day. Because of the even heating of this cookwear the Gumbo did not burn on the bottom . The clean up was a snap! I have also cooked a 12 lb roast in the oven, and it turned out unbelievable. I am making Veg beef soup today . Another thing I like about this pot you can saute right in the pot and than add your other ingredients and mess up only one pot. I love this pot! I can't wait to get some more of the same cookware. Happy Cook

This is the most versatile item in my kitchen
I purchased the largest Le Creuset French Oven several years ago and I am so glad the price didn't scare me away.
My oven is used every week; from my "Come and Get It Chili", to my "Creative Chicken Soup", to my "Put it in your belly Pot Roast", to my "Save your appetite Stew", and also my "Sunday Spaghetti Sauce"....Oh, there's more......... I honestly had to use two pots to make these dishes before I purchased the Le Creuset French oven, and of course, I had to watch they didn't bottom burn.
The Le Creuset French Oven cooks better, faster and more evenly. I would recommend this product with no hesitation.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to store, easy to use, even cooking, Functional/Useful, Heat distribution, Heat retention, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, Performs Well, quality, size, Tight-fitting lid, True to Color, Value for Money, Variety of Colors, Warranty

I got this french oven a few months ago, I have always been cooking with cast iron cookwares for a while now but I was so impressed with this Le Creuset french oven that I had to buy additional to replace my cheaper versions of cast iron enamel cookwares. Here is why. 1. The pot is lighter than the competition 2. It's made so well, I like the lid not getting hot after cooking for a long time, my other pots get hot 3. It cleans VERY WELL. 4. It's so huge that you can cook ANYTHING in it. you can double or triple recipes easily.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, even cooking, Functional/Useful, Heat distribution, Heat retention, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, Performs Well, quality, size
Cons: Expensive/ Price, Handle gets hot

The Best Dutch Oven

Yes it's a little pricey and a little heavy but it's eye-catchingly beautiful and the best cast iron dutch oven you will find on the market today. Le Creuset makes the best quality cast iron cookware available today. This French oven is extremely versatile and perfect for anything which requires long slow cooking either on the stovetop or in the oven. An iron pot takes longer to heat up than say stainless steel or aluminum but it holds heat longer than either. It cooks everything so perfectly pot roast, soup, stew, pasta sauces, chili, gumbo, braising, slow-cooking, etc and it is incredibly easy to clean without scubbing by soaking overnight in hot, soapy water. And best of all it will outlast almost all of your other cookware. If you are debating whether you should buy a Le Creuset French Oven, stop debating and just buy it, and I guarantee you will not regret it.

This oven is extremely efficient and easy to clean, instead of turning your oven on in the summertime to roast a chicken, you can do it on your stove top and since it locks in all of the flavor and juices it may be one of your best dishes yet. I use this dish 2 to 4 times a week and don't know how did without it. Excellent cookware.

By far my most favorite pan. Cooks and cleans up like magic. This is the one I reach for when ever I am cooking for a crowd, or a huge batch of chili.
