We've used le Creuset before and it is well worth the price. The finish is excellent, allows for cooking with even temperature. For the quality of iron used in the put it is surprisingly light weight. We fix big lots of soups and stews (we love leftovers) and this pot allows for that quite easily.
We'd recommend this to anyone!
In the kitchen, I'm never without: A good, sharp knife!

The pot was of poor quality, the metal was extremely thin like one you would find at a discount store. This was not at all what I would have expected from Le Creuset.

I am not sure you really want this review but you asked for it so here it is.
The Stock Pot is fantastic!
However, I had ordered it for a Christmas Present for my Sister-In-Law and it was listed as in stock and shiping within 4-7 days. BUT it never came until the end of March.
Pros: Material, easy to use, even cooking, Heat distribution, construction, Heat retention, durability
Cons: communication for chefs, delivery delay

Le Creuset 16-Quart Stockpot

I purchased the 16-Quart and intended to purchase the 12-Quart and am currently awaiting the replacement. However, with respect to review, we had the 12-Quart in the past that my mom gave us for a wedding gift 19 years ago. We loved it!! It was the perfect pot to cook chili or a large amount of soup in for a big crowd. It did not wear out and would not have needed replacing if my husband had not burned it beyond recognition a few weeks back, by leaving frozen chili in it to unthaw and leaving the house to "go walk about" as he likes to call it when he visits friends. Anyway, all was well and only the smoke detector went off and and thank God there was no fire involved. We miss our stockpot and can't wait to get our replacement!!!
Pros: Value for Money, Stay-cool handle, Variety of Colors, quality, True to Color, Heat distribution, multi-purpose, construction, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, durability, Long-lasting, Weight, capacity
Cons: Difficult to Clean/Wash

Disappointed

I had made an investment several years ago in the traditional Le Creuset cookware, which I absolutely love, especially for braising lamb shanks. I had been searching for a large stockpot for cooking fresh garden tomatoes for canning. When I saw that Le Creuset had the large 16 and 20 quart stockpots in their collection, I purchased both. I assumed that these pots would provide a uniform cooking surface and would prevent the tomatoes from scorching. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I will agree with the other reviewers' assessments of these stockpots as great pots for soup, but not for tomatoes.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity, size, Stay-cool handle, Tight-fitting lid, True to Color
Cons: Construction, Difficult to Clean/Wash, Hotspots, Performance, Uneven cooking

Fantastic for Soup Fanatics!

I recently started dabling in making soups and stews and have found a few recipes that our friends and family love and that freeze well. I recently purchased this pot so that I could make multiple batches of Chicken Gumbo and Vegetable soup so that I didnt have to pull out multiple pans and carefully stir without splashing soup all over my stove. This pot was the answer! I am a first time buyer of Le Crueset, and I am very pleased with its quality and craftmanship. I purchased the Cherry pot, and as crazy as it sounds, the inside of this pan is as beautiful as it is on the outside. I love what this stock pot lets me accomplish, and I plan on adding more Le Creuset to my collection.

Best Pot for Chicken Soup

You can always count of Le Creuset for a good solid piece of cookware and this pot is no exception. Thankfully it is not the typical Creuset cast iron! It is a nice solid pot with lots of room if you like to make large quantities of soup or stock. The blue pot is beautiful as well as functional.
