This baby can go from stovetop to oven in a snap. You can feed few to many with this versatile pot. Its worth the investment.

I always dreamed of getting my first Le Creuset and it was worth the wait. Some could say it's very heavy - more than 15 pounds - but that is one of the features that make it such a great pot to cook with. Great for braising, sauteing and everything else imaginable, not to mention that it goes from the cook top straight to the oven - you just need to change the lid knob for the stainless steel one,.

I recently purchased the Le Creuset 9.5 oval French Oven in Kiwi. I love the way it looks, the color is great! I made a pot roast in it over the weekend, which is how I intend to use the pot, and it came out wonderfully, and was easy to clean. Great purchase and I hope to buy another one in a different size in the near future.

Do not hesitate to invest in this piece! I cook all the time and this is my favorite pot. I use it to make everything from chili to French daubes, braised short ribs, beef bourguignonne....on and on. Yes, the pot is heavy but that is the beauty of this piece. heat is distributed evenly so your dish does not burn or stick. there are no downsides to this piece and it will last a lifetime!

This is a GREAT item. I love mine. Tons of room, even heat distribution and solid construction make this one of my favorite items in the kitchen. I mainly use it for sauces, soups, or braising things like stews or meat. Fantastic! Worth every penny.

After going back and forth on whether or not I would utilize a dutch oven this large, I finally jumped in and made the investment. Wow - best purchase for my kitchen!! You don't have to worry about your dish bubbling over because the pot is too small. It's just my husband and I (no kids) and we use this all the time to double recipes so there will be plenty of leftovers later. It retains heat evenly and for a long time, and it's so beautiful that you can serve guests right out of it. Highly recommend. Don't hesitate to make this purchase!

This is an amazing piece of cookware! I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to use this extremely heavy French Oven, but after I received one as a gift from my husband, I quickly learned why these have received such great reviews. It provides extremely even cooking, and is easy to clean. It is like nothing else I own. One day I hope to expand my collection!

This pan is the best thing going for braises. Even cooking. Easy clean up. Tight seal with lid. Looks good on the table. It's my cold weather stalwart for slow cooked comfort food.
Pros: east clean up, even heating
Cons: heavy, shouldn't use metal utensils

Le Creuset never fails to please with their quality products. This French oven has plenty of room for cooking the meat of your choice, as well as adding lots of delicious vegetables. The cast iron core allow for even heating, and the enamel surface makes clean up a breeze. This is the kind of cookware you'll end up bequeathing to someone in your will!
Cons: this size is not practical when cooking for two.

This pot is perfect for braising meats and making soup. I make a pot of soup every Sunday to last the week, and I have found that this is the perfect pot. The light colored interior allows me to see the food perfectly and to observe the cooking process so that I do not burn the food. The heat is distributed evenly and the food cooks to perfection. I have used this type of utensil since I received one as a wedding gift 45 years ago and I recently upgraded to a larger pot in a lovely blue. It is worth every penny of the rather high price.

This is the first one I reach for when I am making soup in any quantity or braising lamb shanks or a sizable roast. I like the heavyweight and even cooking, and the way this pot has stood up to use. 9.5 quarts is a great size.
