Le Creuset 7 1/4-Quart Round French Oven : This
round French oven is known as "the everyday
pot" for its multifaceted uses: baking, broiling,
braising, sauteing or marinating. It's also
"the everywhere pot" because it serves equally
well on the stovetop, in the oven, on the table, or in
the refrigerator or freezer. The 7 1/4 -quart size is
large enough for 10 to 12 servings of beef bourguignon,
stuffed peppers or your favorite chicken-and-rice
casserole. The tight-fitting lid traps steam to
self-baste foods. The mainstay of French chefs for
nearly a century, Le Creuset cookware features bold and
bright colors in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit
any culinary need and home décor. Each enameled cast
iron cookware piece is skillfully finished by hand.
Dishwasher-safe, but hand-washing is recommended. Made

After years of marriage (almost 46) and so many gifts of jewelry, apparel, etc. on 'special' days, this Mother's Day I opted to gift my wife with a dijon yellow Le Creuset round french oven - to brighten-up our kitchen and replace a very old piece of cookware that had outlived its usefulness. Surprise! She loved it and said it was one of her best gifts ever.

I am pleased with the service that Chefs.com provided. Got my delivery quickly and safely. Happy with the Cobalt color and glad that I went with the larger-sized pot. It can fit a 4.5 lbs chicken with room for vegetables. Food cleans off easily from the pot, just be prepared to hold on tight once you get it into the sink with soap and water. Building-up your arm muscles is a side benefit when you take it in and out of the oven. One down side is that I found the enamel on the bottom easy to scratch when taking it in and out of the oven.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas. Both my daughter & son-in-law were so happy - a dream come true.
I decided on this size because they love to make soups & sauce. The pot is a little heavy, but the heat is even and eveything cooks even.

I received this as a Christmas gift last year and have become a devoted fan of enamel over cast iron and Le Creuset products ever since!
You will make the best gumbo ever in this pot! and the clean up from making a sticky roux is amazingly easy!
Roasts, stews, soups, gumbos, chili....this pot does everything and looks great going from stove top to oven to table!
Run!...don't walk to the curb to pick up your order from Chef's Catalog and get cooking!
Pros: cooks great!, cleans easy!
Cons: heavy - but that is why cast iron works so well

Love it!. Heavy enough to flatten uneven electric range surfaces and heavy lid ensures tight seal, perfect for trapping in moisture in braised meats, big batches of reducing marinaras, curries, etc. And to top it off, it's gorgeous, too. Highly recommended, every kitchen needs a Le Creuset.

The only thing better would be more of the same. It arrived almost overnight. I have used it for a variety of purposes from stove top to baking and roasting, and the results have been excellent with incomporable flavor. The ease of cleaning beats anything else I have in my kitchen, truly effortless. I recommend this product 100%.

Love my Le Creuset French Oven. The first dish I made was Beef Stew and it was delicious (the meat was ultra tender). The even distribution and retention of heat was amazing and it was very easy to clean. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I've cooked with Le Creuset before, and the performance and usability are always superb! The 7 1/4-Quart Round French Oven is the perfect size for chili, soups and stews; and the Cassis color is gorgeous! Being cast iron, it's a little heavy, so I wouldn't want it any larger.

I've cooked a chicken dish, pea soup, and a 3 hour seafood gumbo in this and was very impressed. Heats much more evenly than my other cookware, and no issues with acids since it is enameled. Food seemed to cook better, at least, taste was maybe 10 percent better than usual. (I know taste is subjective, but when the dishes consistently come out better you know something is going on.)
Only drawback is the weight: takes two hands to pour out contents.
We went with the cherry red and love how it looks.

I love the Le Creuset French Oven, but, for the first time, was very disappointed in the quality of this item. There were nicks in the finish all around the top edge of the oven. I have returned it, and hope that the exchange piece will exhibit the great quality that I am used to in the Le Creuset line, as I have many other pieces and love them all.

Le Creuset is the best cookware I have ever used. The versatility of it makes it easy to cook, freeze and serve. Clean up is a breeze! I love the enormous size of this pot. It's perfect for preparing soups and stews for family and friends. And, the color (Caribbean) is gorgeous!
