Every cook needs one November 17, 2007
tigger8569 from Las Vegas

"I have wanted a porcelain enamel dutch oven for years and finally bought one about a month ago and all I can say is why did I wait so long. The first time I used it was to make a pot roast; not only was the roast amazing (tender and moist) but the clean up was impressive. I dreaded the clean up when I saw the sides of the inside of the dutch oven. As the liquid reduced, it left (what I thought would be) stains, but with just a little soap, warm water and a sponge the mess came right off.
The second time I used it was to make homemade spaghetti sauce and again the clean up was a breeze.
I received exclamations on how beautiful the blue was and even more once the food was sampled."

Oh la la June 18, 2008
trissy from Newcastle, Wa

"This is truly my all-purpose pot. I have used it almost everyday for almost everything. Fom jambalaya to giant pot roasts, my dishes just turned out scrumptious. I'll never forget the day I forgot to turn the stove off and burned the chili--the chili was ruined and I thought, the pot--but after a brief soaking, the burnt mess just peeled off!"

My Favorite Christmas Gift! March 24, 2008
tamale from Washington, DC

"I received my Le Creuset French Oven as a gift for Christmas, and now I can't imagine cooking without it! I have been consistently pleased with everything that I have made in it: from Beef Stew to pot roast, and sauce to fried donuts. This pot heats so evenly and is thick enough that nothing burns on the bottom. Deglazing is a cinch, and cleaning it is surprisingly easy! Every home cook should have one of these."

The best pot in the kitchen! March 23, 2008
Ginger from Pueblo, CO

"This has been the best pot I have ever used. It is easy to clean and cooks so evenly. I use this pot more than any other in my kitchen. I also have a smaller one and they are my best two pots! I love the fact that I can sautee my onions and such then just add the other ingredients into the same pot. Not only does it cook well, it is a beautiful piece to look at."

Created for Comfort Food! November 9, 2007
Melania from Clemmons, North Carolina

"Slow, simmering pears with cinnamon and apples -- a hearty French cassoulet with savory beans and pork, vegetable stew with carrots, onions and tender new potatoes -- this culinary workhorse can handle them all!

Le Creuset has been a favorite with professional chefs for a long time, but as someone who has just started to build a collection of this lovely cookware, I have been thrilled with the performance of one of France's most renowned culinary icons. There's nothing quite like something simmering on the stove on cold days, and the slow, even heat provided by this French oven makes for mouthwatering everyday dishes. To top it all off, the charming style and colors look great on and off the stove, and for the first time, I'm displaying my cookware with pride. This is a great investment piece that will stand the test of time."
