Best cooking pot ever January 8, 2009
Kayly from Houston, Tx

"This is my first piece of Le Creuset. I think it is worth every penny spent on it. The colors are fabulous. There are no hot spots in this cookware. The moisture never escapes the pot. I have a ceramic cooktop stove and sometimes when you stir items in a pan it will start to spin around unless you have a hold of the handle with the other hand. This is no longer a problem with this heavy duty cookware, so I can lift the lid and stir without having to set the lid down. The cookware is awesome. I plan on buying more."

The best November 16, 2007
cylin from San Francisco

"This was my first Le Creuset piece and I highly recommend it. I wasn't sure if it would be too big for a household of two, but it's the perfect size for braises if you want to entertain or have leftovers. It heats evenly and has amazing heat retention. It's on the pricey side but with a lifetime guarantee, you know that it's worth it.
Since I received it, I've used it at least once a week if not more. It's also a great size for making the "No Knead Bread" from the NY Times and long simmered pasta sauces. I'm always amazed at how easily it cleans up after browning meat or braising for hours, it really is better than non-stick cookware."

Excellent Cookware January 29, 2009
Anonymous Reviewer from Lansing, Michigan

"You will be amazed at the performance of this cookware and how good your dishes turn out when you use it. I've used it to make a variety of chicken and beef dishes and they were more moist and evenly cooked than ever before. Goes from the stovetop where you've browned meats to the oven for slow cooking and then to the table top as a lovely serving dish. LOVE IT!"

Another dependable piece! January 18, 2009
FWTXChef from Fort Worth, TX

Pros: le creuset need i say more?

"I figured somewhere along the line I would run into a piece of Le Creuset cookware that I might be less than thrilled with, but, once again, I'm (ecstatically) not disappointed!!! As with all Le Creuset pieces, the vivid color(s) add just the right touch to a stove or tabletop. The cooking versatility (braising, searing, slow-cooking, etc.) of this french oven makes it one of the favorites in the kitchen!"

Outstanding All-Purpose Cooking Pot January 8, 2009
chefcarlos from Marysville, WA

Pros: highly versatile, cooks evenly, cleans like new every time
Cons: expensive

"I've had this French Oven since last Christmas, have used it many times, and I'm still amazed that it still looks brand new and continues to perform flawlessly. I braise, simmer, sear and do just about any other type of cooking in it. Last week I made my first pot of chilli with it and it came out fantastic. I browned the meat, cooked the vegetables and simmered the chilli for 4 hours, all in this same French Oven. I highly recommend this product."

Love this cookware! January 8, 2009
gramdeb from Hutchinson, KS

"This is one of my favorite, can't do without pieces of cookware! Roasts and other meats come out of the oven so juicy and tender. The heavy structure of the pan seems to allow more even cooking and it's really easy to clean up, like having nonstick without the chemicals. It's great for cooking stews and soups on top of the stove too. One thing I love is I can get whatever I'm cooking started on top of the stove and then put it in the oven. Yesterday I started a chicken stew when I was home for lunch, then put it in the oven on 275 and slow-cooked it until supper, and my family raved! It was so much better than when I've cooked it in my crock pot."

fantastic January 8, 2009
rial from Dorset, VT

"The oval French oven cooks any braised dish perfec tly with depth of flavor that I have not experienced with other dutch ovens. It is easy to clean and can go to the table because of its striking good looks. The ability to carmalize and sear meats and vegetables can not be beat. This is a fantastic and necessary addition to any kitchen."

a Kitchen Must-Have February 26, 2008
JLuka from New York, NY

"This does what it's supposed to do & more. Food cooks evenly and efficiently. ...And when you're not using it to cook it could easily be used as an added accent piece in your kitchen. The bold colors pop no matter where it's placed in open view. I love that it adds much needed color to my kitchen. I love even more that it makes for fun and efficient cooking."

"This was my first Le Creuset purchase. It's perfect for just about everything. I mainly use mine for chili, big hearty soups, and roasts. Le Creuset pots are something you'll be passing down to your children."

Love love love my Le Creuset October 9, 2007
Shebear from east coast

"I am addicted to Le Creuset. They are just like potato chips, you can't have just one. I have all the basic pots and pans and a few of the specialty pans and don't regret a single one. They are pricey but soooo worth it. If you think of it as an investment it helps. They are something you pass down in your family to be used for years to come. Start with one basic french oven and go from there. I started with the 6.75 oval and fell in love. It is a very versatile size. You can cook soups, stews, a roast, or chicken. Try it, you'll like it!!"
