I love to smoke foods on the grill but sometimes don't want to go through the hassle of soaking the chips, making the pouches, etc. I read the reviews on this product and thought this might be what I need! I have used it 3 times in the first week. LOVE it. Cannot believe that all you need is 1.5 TBSP of the chips - it really works! I did cover the drip pan in foil and it does make for an easy clean up. And as the booklet states - the underside of the tray will turn black with use. After cleaning - All the parts fit together and the handles fold in for easy storage.
Great gift idea!

The reviews on this product were so good that I decided to chance it. That certainly was a great decision. This makes some amazing smoked salmon! I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an easy smoker. It is small, which is what I wanted, but a future buyer needs to know that this will probably only make enough for 2 people. Otherwise, excellent product.

Love it. Have made delicious pork chops and salmon. It is si windy here I can't use my outdoor smoker so am trying out a turkey tomorrow, for Christmas. Love it so much, all three (grown) children are getting them for Christmas this year. Ps. Also healthy -no fats needed.

Although this particular smoker was purchased by me as a gift to our son in law, I have one of my own, and love it.
I have done chicken, ribs, and fish with amazing results. The protein always comes out moist and flavorful when used as directed. Good product!!!!!!

I love this stove top smoker. I use it all the time to give my meats that smoky flavor. It is so easy to use and really frees you up to do other things while your food is being smoked. Not to mention it leaves a wonderful aroma in your kitchen. Clean up is also a great feature and there are several choices of wood chips to chose from. I would absolutely recommend this product.

I'm an apartment dueller and not allowed to have charcoal bbqs. You can't beat the flavor and moistness this item gives to all types of meats. The salmon is to die for. Chicken has flavor all the way to the bone!! Ribs...excellent; just baste with non-smoked flavored sauce after you smoke them and put in the oven for a few minutes. No one will ever guess you did not use an outdoor grill.

I made very smoky and juicy country ribs with this smoker. I like the construction because the stainless steel holds up in the heat (It did not warp). It took me some time to scrub the burnt particles out. I should line the tray's top and bottom with aluminum foil.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: food processor.
Favorite Brand: Kitchen Aid

I had no idea a product like this existed until I saw it used by Hubert Keller on his TV cooking show. I love smoked food, but I don't have a BBQ so I've lived without it.
This is a fabulous product and it does everything that they say it can do and more.
The only drawback, that one would expect, but is minimized by the manufacturer and by Hubert Keller, is that it does smoke up the kitchen a bit. Not enough to set of smoke alarms, but the kitchen will definitely smell like a great BBQ restaurant for a while. I don't have a good vent system. If you do you won,t have a problem.
It's worth it.

I would of liked a better description of the product and how it was used before I purchased it. It was a gift for my husband who loves to smoke food. However, this is only used to smoke the food for a short while, then the food has to be finished being prepared by a different means. Too much time and effort for us. I will be returning it.

A very nice product which fits my stove-top burner(s) very well at this size. Steel construction is solid, and the sliding top fits very well ( "smoke-tight!" without having to bend or adjust it. Excellent for salmon, cheeses, pork ribs. Lately, I did some lamb ribs and they were superb.The suggestion to put some foil in the drip pan is a good one, making clean up very quick. It works very well on the outdoor grill, too. Congratulations on a fine product!

I loved the result when i used my smoker. The pork roast was juicy and flavorful. The disappointment came when I washed the the pan and discovered a split in the bottom. I liked the smoker ,so I returned it and ordered the large one. I think I just happened to get the faulty one.

You can speak of the product but what really matters is the outcome of using the product. My first attempt was a salmon fillet with alder and the result was heavenly. Following the well-written cookbook and easy instructions gave a result that surpassed my expectations for taste and the presentation of the fillet was worthy of serving my most discriminating guests. Cleanup was easy since I took advice of the instructions to use a layer of aluminum foil in the drip pan and spray the grate before use. This appliance now has permanent residency on my counter top, as I plan to use it often.

I've already used the smoker much more than expected, four times in less than two weeks. Delicious results with shrimp, chicken wings and ribs. Easy to use and easy to clean. I was concerned that I didn't really need the large size but after using it I'm glad I chose the large. It's so easy that I'm now planning to use it for peppers and other vegetables that I had no intention of smoking when I bought it.

I have a large smoker for outdoor use but got the small stovetop smoker for those cold, wet days. My wife has smoked bacon, pork chops, hot dogs and potatoes. The potatoes were utterly fantastic. The other items were very good also. I recommend the cookbook available with it! I also recommend that while using, it be placed on a burner close to the exhaust fans if not under a hood. It is smokey. With the exhaust fans, there is a brief, not strong odor in the house, but it is not at all unpleasant. Again, I think one will get better results using the cookbook than just "winging it". Using aluminum foil as recommended makes cleaning a non-issue.

We saw this being used at a friend's home where they did smoked salmon as an appetizer. I got one for my husband for Christmas. It is great, easy to use and the smoked salmon served with chopped red onions and capers and lemon is a phenomenal healthy appetizer or meal. We are looking forward to trying some other recipes. We are about to send one as a gift to my brother.

We liked this so much that we bought another one as a gift for my brother and schlepped it overseas with us when we went to visit him.
Almost any meat we've cooked in it has been perfection, we weren't however too crazy about smocked vegetables, though that is probably due to personal taste.
