Great Gadget October 5, 2007
funchelly from Plano, Tx

"I love this stove top smoker. I use it all the time to give my meats that smoky flavor. It is so easy to use and really frees you up to do other things while your food is being smoked. Not to mention it leaves a wonderful aroma in your kitchen. Clean up is also a great feature and there are several choices of wood chips to chose from. I would absolutely recommend this product."

if you love smoked food, you will love this item July 2, 2008
mountainmama from draper, VA

"wow!! trout and salmon were savory and moist. Takes just minutes to have a very special meal. We use inside with a stove hood and have not been bothered by smoke escaping. When I use this for a company dinner my guests want to run out a buy one for themselves."

Nice little product June 24, 2008
Kharn from Cincinnati, OH

"I have not used this product indoors on the stovetop yet -- only on the grill -- so I can't address issues with smoke inside the house, but, I can attest that the product works very well on the grill! I smoked some new potatoes with garlic butter and blue cheese topping while grilling some steaks nearby on the same grate, and, wow, what a yummy meal.
I was happy with the quality of unit itself -- it's heavy, but easy to assemble for smoking.
The instruction manual does tell you how to adjust the unit to create a tight seal (and it seems to work -- I had to do it, as the lid came out of the box a little wonky). I look forward to a nice summer of all sorts of smoky treats."

Great flavor March 20, 2008
babers09 from Minneapolis, MN

"Clean up is pretty easy. Gives food a good smoked flavor that tastes better than charcoal grilling. A small amount of the wood chips go a long way (1 Tbsp per pound of meat). The smoke stays in the pan so the house does not get a smoky haze. This is a great pan to have when craving summer grilled foods."

Stovetop Smoker March 20, 2008
slturpin from Grapevine, Texas

"I had bought the large and smaller smokers for my parents for Christmas this past year. Both have told me how wonderful it makes their food taste and how easy it is to use. I recently bought myself one and I was amazed at how easy it was to use. My son doesn't like smoked salmon much but he was shocked at how good it tasted being smoked in the stovetop smoker. I am looking forward to trying new things in the smoker!! I am excited about my new kitchen toy."

Gives a Wonderful Smoked Flavor With No Mess March 4, 2008
Anonymous Reviewer from San Diego, CA

"Easy-to-use stovetop smoker. The kithchen will smell great (with no visible smoke, nor will it set off your smoke alarm) and the food will taste better. Just follow the directions for great results. You can experiment on your own as well after you have used it a few times. I frequently use it when cooking salmon - it comes out moist and flavorful - I can't seem to cook enough of it - there are never any leftovers.
One tip - line the bottom of the pan and the drip tray with aluminum foil - makes cleanup almost effortless."

Absolutely 'Smokin' January 4, 2008
grnidwitch from Newark, De

"I recently purchased the large smoker and glad I did. I have always smoked outdoors and this is perfect for the kitchen! I had no smoke leaking out other than a little which made my kitchen smell fantastic. My family has always been partial to Duck a L'orange, but we have changed our opinion. We used the cherry chips to smoke the duck (plus added some canned pitted dark cherries under the skin, reserving the liquid to add herbs and a little orange juice and reduced it to make a glaze) and the taste blew us away. Probably the best new gadget we added to our collection!"

Smokin' Great Food December 2, 2007
Chefwantabee from Southern California

"These stovetop smokers add a whole new dimension to your cooking repertoire. I take mine camping and use it on any barbeque. I make smoked salmon, smoked tomatoes for an awesome soup, smoked red peppers for incredible sauces, and my friends’ favorite: spice rubbed smoked ribs that almost fall off the bone. I smoke the ribs, freeze them, then when its time to eat, slap the smoked ribs on the barbeque with sauce just to heat them up.

While the stovetop smoker can be used in your kitchen, the smoke will leak a little and you can minimize this by placing something heavy on top. It needs to be something that can handle heat and that you can pick up with your potholder. Bricks work best."
