This asparagus steamer is terrrific! the stems and the tips are perfectly done every time. The stainless finish looks nice and it is very easy to care for. The basket is high quality. I would definitely recommend it as a purchase or a gift.

Works great, asparagus comes out so much better because it is steamed, better flavor. Much greener appearance. I recommend this product to anyone. And I would even purchase this as a gift for someone else.

I received this as a gift and thought it was frivolous and silly. i have a small kitchen and don't have room for items that only do one thing. That being said, I love this. it's really high quality. We do make asparagus quite often, and i actually look forward to using this because it steams it so perfectly.

The space between the wires in the basket are way to far apart for slender asparagras stalks I like best. They fall through and end up getting partially boiled instead of steamed.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to store, durability
Cons: basket poorly constructed for asparagras

I don't even like asapargagus, but this can't be beat for cooling stock or demi, since it fits into any bucket and most stock pots.
Pros: compact size all clad quality

This seemed like a silly purchase, because I said I wanted my cookware collection to be streamlined. But, with it's thinner gauge steel, the price was right. It cooks asparagus to perfection, and I have been known to throw eggs in it to hard cook them or a bottle of syrup to warm up with hot water from the tap, so had limited versatility too. Besides, doesn't everyone deserve at least one novelty item in the kitchen? And seeing as this is a very functional, if seasonal, item it's a good choice.
