My son who lives in Denver, is a professional who just loves to cook. On my last visit to Denver he mentioned that his blender was broken so I purchased the Cuisinart Smart Power Blender for his birthday. He was ecstatic with the gift and the quality of it. He loves to prepare creamed soups and sauces and other special meals which will put the item to good use. When I called to wish him Happy Birthday he and my grandson were making Birthday Milkshakes to celebrate his new gift.

Over the last 50 years we have gone through a half dozen blenders, if only the Cuisinart would have been around earlier we could have saved a bundle of money. This one you can actually call a blender.

I purchase Cuisinart blenders because the ice crusher function works just the way I want. This is my third - I use the blender a lot and the motors eventually fail. This time I went for the higher powered motor and hope it will last longer. This is also a nice looking appliance and the control panel is more vertical, so maybe food won't drip into the controls as much.

This blender works OK, but has some problems. The plastic gasket slips when assembled without very close attention. Thus encouraging less washing due to the need to closely monitor the re-assembly of the machine after using and washing parts. If the gasket is not tight enough, the glass container can leak. The buttons on the base that allow different speeds and on and off options are a bit wobbly and so they don't give confidence that when you push them, they are engaging the button completely. Also, the blender does not blend well without at least one cup of liquid in it, so small quanties are not an option. The motor is very loud and noisy. Otherwise, the blender is nice looking and I like the large size carafe and powerful motor.

This machine has all the power you will ever need in the kitchen. It is great looking and can be left out on the counter.

This blender is powerful and chops food well, when you can keep the food down where the blades are. I like to make smoothies a lot and I was hoping this blender would work for that. Unfortunately, I spend lots of time stopping the blender to remove the air bubble and push the contents back down only to have to do it again 2 seconds later. Very frustrating! The design of the glass container just does not keep the food flowing toward the blades. It creates an air lock.

Not only is this a great looking blender , but it is a great Working unit as well.It may be a little loud , but what do you expect with 600 watts of Monster Motor.

This is a great blender--it is extremely fast and powerful! My only 2 complaints about it is not all of the parts are dishwasher safe. As I absolutely hate to hand wash items, it appears even in today's day I am hand washing more and more little items. The other item is it can be difficult to get dry items out of the bottom without making it a mess, but it sure can chop, whip, and cut things up.
