This machine makes excellent ice cream with no pre-freezing of bowls taking up extra room in your freezer. You can make one freezer-full after another, and the quality of the ice cream is great--from soft and fluffy to smooth and firm, depending on how long you freeze it. The machine is heavy, though, so you'll want to find one place convenient to leave it. I love it.

We have had the Lussino for a few weeks and made ice cream and sorbetto 6x. The recipes are great and the machine makes excellent smooth and creamy product!

This is our Third Lello Lussino in six years as the first two became so noisy after two years we had to replace them. This new machine is much better, it appears they have addressed the gear noise issues. The Lello does a great job, we use it almost daily making low fat ice cream and it is easy to clean and operate and freezes contents in 30-40 minutes.
Pros: Cord length, Easy to Clean/Wash, quality, easy to use, construction, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, Functional/Useful
Cons: Noise, will have to see if new model last more than 2 yrs

THIS IS WORTH THE COST IT MAKES FANTASTIC ICED DESSERTS. IVE HAD OTHER ICE CREAM MAKERS (the kind that you place the bowl in the freezer) AND IT DOES NOT COMPARE. CONS: IT REALLY IS A PAIN TO CLEAN THE BOWL AFTER USE. THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME WITH THE MACHINE ARE VERY MINIMAL (think Ikea). THE MACHINE STOPS CHURNING BEFORE THE REQUIRED TIME AS THE ICE CREAM BEGINS TO FREEZE AND GET STIFFER, I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THERE WOULD BE ENOUGH POWER TO CHURN CONTINUOSLY.

This is a great, quality machine! There's no pre-freezing required. It's *very easy* to clean; I love that there are no parts -- besides the paddle -- to remove, fiddle with or store. The lack of pre-freezing and putting parts together makes it so easy and quick to make frozen treats. It even works beautifully (and with zero fuss) putting in plain yogurt and fruit straight into the bowl and letting Lello mix it up itself with the paddle while freezing. It doesn't make a huge quantity of ice cream at one go; however, it's so easy to make that it's no trouble to whip up another, fresh batch. If you're in the market for this rather pricey machine, you won't be disappointed!

We have had this machine for 5 years. Not only does it make great ice cream and sorbets but it is easy to clean. I have quit buying ice cream because what I can make with this machine is much better and even healthier. It is extremely easy to use as well.
