I was looking to purchase my first cast-iron pan and I decided to go with a grill plan. It was the right choice. Once you get the pan up to your desired temperature, it cooks like magic.
It leaves beautiful grill marks on your food and because it's cast-iron it can reach temperatures that non-stick can't.
It's not much more difficult to clean than a non-stick pan and cooking with it, you just feel like you're more in control.

I recently bought this pan because I wanted to be able to grill inside instead of going out in bad weather for the gas grill. I also wanted a pan that can be used on an induction burner. I have done steaks and find this pan does such a great job I may abandon my grill! One of the best features is that it comes already seasoned--so I could use it immediately without the mess of seasoning it myself. I will buy one for my daughter who is getting married in the fall.
Pros: easy to use, even cooking, Functional/Useful, Heat distribution, non-stick, Performs Well, quality, Value for Money
