We have been looking for 5 years for a griddle to replace our 'lost' one, and were so glad to see your catalog and find one, this one is even better! Heavy cast iron and seasoned, we used it the first day. Love it.

Through the course of having inherited several "heirloom" cast iron fry-pans, fryers and a dutch oven I'll never go back to manufactured non-stick or stainless steel. It's a perfect and HEALTHY medium in which to cook food. That being said, as many burgers, steaks and chicken breasts as I make on a weekly basis (family of 4 and 6 on weekends), firing up all 4 burners and washing 3-4 pans WAS getting to be a chore. Now with this reversible grill/griddle, I only have 1 item to prep, wash and put away. Lodge's pre-seasoning took the work out of starting from scratch and being cast-iron, I get even heat from one burner being smaller than the next. It's even done several tours of duty on an outside grill. Robustly made, a trouper in the kitchen and precision cooking qualities have made this a, if not THE, centerpiece and workhorse of my kitchen! BUY ONE!!!

I just received the double sided Lodge griddle for Christmas and I couldn't wait to use it. The loved that it arrives pre-seasoned! I have a gas stove and it's long enough to cover two burners. It heats evenly and did a great job on pancakes and steak. It's a little hefty at 16lbs but it cleans up in a snap with hot water.
This is my first Lodge Logic product and I'm already thinking of adding to my collection.

I have several Lodge Logic pieces. I love every one of them! I use my double burner griddle at least two times a week, especially for getting great grill marks when we don't use our grill outdoors due to inclement weather. I just put the grill over two of our gas burners on the kitchen range and it's as if our steaks or chops were grilled outdoors! Some of the other Lodge Logic I have are the 12" square griddle pan and a square pan I use for corn bread. Lodge Logic is very easy to clean and season!

This griddle was an excellent choice for our Wolf stove. It fits across the burners well and sits solidly. The heat certainly penetrates the surface evenly. The heat retention is amazing--I had the burners off for close to 5 minutes and was still able to fry 3 eggs with no additional heat! The fact that the surface is pre-seasoned and ready to use is icing on the cake! This griddle is amazing.

Although this cast iron grill is pre-seasoned it still takes a little effort to clean. If you are used to only using non-stick surfaces this takes a little getting used to but I am willing to trade off since this grill cooks the food well and evenly with great flavor and its a good alternative for when I don't feel like using my outdoor gas BBQ grill.

This griddle is exactly what we have been looking for--fits over 2 burners on our gas range. It heats evenly and cooks perfectly. Hot cakes for overnight breakfasts will now be a breeze! Excellent weight and construction--this will be a keeper and will be continuing to be used in our family for generations!

I had been looking for a quality cast iron griddle/grill for a long time-I found it! The Lodge Logic is SUPERB! As a girl growing up in North Carolina my whole family used cast iron. I will use nothing else for cooking. This piece is hefty at around 16 lbs., but that is to be expected with cast iron. Nice even heating as is another rule of cast iron. From burgers to chops to pancakes and grilled cheese-this griddle/grill is the best! I have even made fish on this thing with no problems whatsoever. Clean-up is a snap! I was reading other reviews that stated the handle got hot, I started laughing-the handles of all cast iron cookwear get hot-just let it cool off after cooking before you touch it. Or if you have to touch it use a pot holder. Bottom line: If you're looking for a griddle/grill get this one!!!!!!

Because this is cast iron, I thought it would work on my induction cooktop. It only works using one burner, so half the griddle doesn't heat up- caveat- don't buy for induction cooktop.

It's a Lodge, What more needs to be said. Lodge has been making quality cast iron cookware for years.For those of you that complane about the weight I say get aluminum, it's lighter but don't expect to get the preformance that you'll get from this one. When it comes to cast iron cookware, weight = preformance hands down!

This was a gift for someone who just moved to a home with
a wonderful gas stove.

Their children love Pancakes and Canadian bacon on Saturday mornings, it seemed the "perfect fit".
They've used it several times as an indoor grill. Liked it very much.
If I owned a large gas range, you'd find one in my pantry too!
One drawback may be the size. It's a bit difficult to handle for
clean-up. Luckly they have a large Laundry room sink, but
it may be a consideration for customers to be aware of.

Wow! This is the best cast Iron griddle ever! I am now a big fan of Lodge and plan on getting more lodge cast iron. It cleans well with just hot water and a scubbing brush. The food does not stick at all. I use this griddle every day. It replaced two electric appliances I had. So I have gained counter space! I can't say enough about this product. What's more is that is made in the USA!

Bought this to cook pancakes for the family. Its heavy and well pretreated. I expect it to last very well. My only complaint is that the working surface is rather narrow and takes away from the utility. I'd prefer a griddle than a dual purpose item, but can't seem to find one.
