I recieved this pot for a Christmas gift and it is my favorite!! Someone asked me what I was going to use such a large pot for. My response was "Are you kidding? I'm going to use this pot for EVERYTHING...soup, stews, roasts, on and on." Love it!!

When I'm in the Kitchen, I become: Self-proclaimed Gourmet
I needed this to bake a smaller loaf of bread, yes bread. We were wasting a larger loaf so I needed a smaller vessel. This was just what I needed.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: a good knife
Favorite Brand: Trident
Pros: Warranty, even cooking, Heat distribution, multi-purpose, construction, size, non-stick, Performs Well, durability, capacity, Easy to Clean/Wash, Variety of Colors, quality, Material, True to Color, Tight-fitting lid, Heat retention, Appearance/ Design /Style, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting
My first piece of LeCreuset that I've ever bought for myself - and I love it already! Not only is it beautiful, but it's heavy, and versatile. I've only had the opportunity to use it once - made a casserole that turned out great. I know I'll purchase more pieces - I've already given numerous LeCreuset pieces for gifts and finally decided to treat myself. I bought the cherry red, which is a visual treat.
I bought one of the sets and while the 1 1/4 qt saucepan was good, this is better for us. Since there are just two of us, I need more small pieces and fewer large pieces and this is a great size. Just wish it were in the set I purchased.

Worth every dollar

I have used Le Creuset pots for over 30 years and they are terriffic! They are the go-to pots in my kitichen when I need a nice slow simmer. Great performance. Drawbacks? Only one - they are heavy. Doesn't bother me, but some folks are concerned with that.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, Variety of Colors, quality, Material, Warranty, easy to use, True to Color, Heat distribution, construction, size, Heat retention, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, easy to store, durability, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, capacity
Braising, browning, scraping all those flavorful bits; stewing, simmering, whether fish, meats, potatoes, vegetables, sauces, soups, it runs the gamut, and it's so versatile going from the stovetop into the oven. Extremely easy to handwash (or dishwasher). The handles ensure steadiness with its weight. If you can afford only one purchase in this line, the French oven would be the best investment for its versatile oval size and multiple uses. The cobalt blue was my choice; it's a beautiful piece of cookware, sturdy, and deservedly sits on my stovetop. Highly recommended for years of guaranteed quality cooking.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, even cooking, Functional/Useful, Heat distribution, Heat retention, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, Performs Well, quality, size, Tight-fitting lid, Value for Money

I have pots and pans - OR so I thought. I received this pot as a gift and was amazed at how easy it was to use and clean. I've made sauces, stews, soup and roasts in this pot. Everything comes out great. This is now the gift I give at Wedding Showers.
Pros: construction, even cooking, Heat retention, multi-purpose, Performs Well

Excellent but pricey

I love my dutch oven! I was skeptical at first b/c of the price but it has turned out to be a great product. I mainly use it for soups and stews. The only issue I have is sometimes I hear a cracking noise when I pour hot liquid into it. That makes me nervous, but I haven't seen any cracks. I recommend slowly pouring hot liquid in instead of just pouring fast.

Best Thing To Own

This is one of the "BEST" pots ever. If you have not purchased one yet do not put it off any longer. It is awesome. I plan on getting more as time goes on. They last forever. It is one purchase you will never regret!!
These are really the best pots I've ever had. I received mine as gifts back in 1988 and they still look & work great and are so easy to care for! Great, even heat conduction, no sticking/burning, great for sauces, soups, stews, etc.
If you're cooking for two, you need this oven. Great for stews, braises, or small casseroles. Because of the enamel, you do not need to season the vessel and clean-up is a breeze. Same heat conduction as any Dutch Oven, maybe better, because the lid is wrought iron as well.
Hands down better than any Dutch Oven, this French Oven is simply a Great Little Oven.
