A Must Have Tool for Everyone April 8, 2008
thecaterer from San Francisco, CA

"I couldn't imagine prepping food without this handy tool.
I use it virtually every day. The stick blender is powerful and the speed is adjustable. It purees beautifully. So handy for soups, smoothies etc.
I love the attachment which turns it into a mini food processor for chopping garlic, mincing herbs and mixing salad dressings and emulsions.
It whips eggs and cream in a flash and the best part is the attachments clean up easily in the dishwashers.
No matter what your level of cooking skill you'll find this your "go to tool.""

great addition October 5, 2007
patti from new jersey

"My new "wouldn't want to do without" item. For creamed soups and mashed squash, no more transferring hot food to a blender in batches - now I bend right in the pot. Enough power for a stockpot full of thick potato soup, creamed in minutes. Good for making salad dressings. Not so good for chopping unless you want minced pieces, but well worth the purchase for all the other abilities."

You Can Whip It June 5, 2008
Fun2Cook from Schaumburg, IL

"I can not live without this tool in my kitchen. Being a disabled cook and having re-arranged my kitchen to accomodate me, the one thing that is difficult to accomodate is a cook surface. Therefore, transfering hot soups or sauces to a blender for smoothing is not teneable. This tool solved the problem. I can take out as much as I want into a bowl, bring it to my lowered work station, and whip or blend or whatever away (having settings choices is nice).
This also has allowed me to cut WAY down on the fat in cooking because I can just zizz a complimentary ingredient up and add thickness that way (for e.g., firm tofu which will add protein and thickness and accept the flavors of whatever dish it's put into). And who knew how much height I could get by putting my soy milk into the included container, adding a bit of orange blossom honey and whipping away. Topping my fresh berries made a treat that any lactose intolerant person would love. So no matter what color, order it now while you are getting a rebate too. Such a deal!!!"

Forget the extra doo-dads June 3, 2008
Enthous from St. Paul, MN

"This is a great immersion blender. I've owned 2 other brands before; one burned out and one just couldn't handle anything more than liquids. This has more power and flexibility with all the speeds and is hands-down the best. I also love that the motor separates from the business end, making cleaning so much easier than my old ones. I give the blender by itself 5 stars. However, the whisk and chopper attachments are not that useful. I have a Kitchenaid hand mixer that has a whisk attachment and beats cream just as quickly, and with more control. I got a lot more spray with the immersion blender whisk. I'm not crazy about the chopper either. I'm pretty adept with a knife, so I don't get it out for chopping onions, etc. I'll probably use it for nuts if I need more than a 1/4 cup. I've made guacamole in it and had to stop and push the avocado down more than a few times. It's too small for 3 avocados even tho the recipe booklet that came with it calls for 3. If I could have a do-over I'd buy the plain immersion blender without the attachments (Model 100), and a separate 25 oz KitchenAid mini food processor - it would be less money and more useful."

The 300 is a must have June 3, 2008
CookinAsheville from asheville, nc

"The immersion blender is a wonderful tool. But adding the chopper and whip attachment makes this a fantastic tool-- efficient and space saving. It is quick and easy to use and clean. So glad I got the whole package because I use the chopper all the time for making pastes and tapenades. I am not generally a gadget person-- I tend to go for a minimalist approach. But I love love love my kitchenaid 300. A very solid and reliable friend in the kitchen!!"

Always ready June 2, 2008
MexiCan from Los Angeles

"This tool is perfect for all the reasons everyone else has stated. I use it for salad dressings and it makes them smooth as silk. The whisk is also terrific for quickly whipping cream. The attachments are easy to attach and detach and clean up nicely in the washer."

ammendment. January 4, 2008
babypillar1 from new york

"I wrote a review prior to the holidays about this product and I really have to add two things now that the holidays are over and I have used it quite a bit more. 1. The only thing I don't like about this product is that you cannot use it with small quantities of anything unless you want to wipe it off your face and walls! But that's not why I bought it. I bought it for the big batches. For that reason I have to rate it a 4.8 instead of a 5! If you cook alot, you'll love it! 2. Probably one of the greatest selling points isthe ease at which you can attach and release things from thisthe motor...it is wonderful! I have gone thru 3 other hand mixers such as this and it was time consuming, messy and often frustrating having to rotate and snap pieces into place. This tool has the easiest snap on/off feature I have ever used! It is a great feature."

Don't waste your money! January 4, 2008
Pat107 from St. Louis, MO

"This is a dreadful product! Kitchen Aid may be known for quality on their stand mixers, but I am on my second immersion blender (the first having been replaced by the company) and find that the second one is no improvement over the first. The problem with this device is the little gray plastic shield that is just beneath the blade. It comes loose during use and gets chopped up into whatever you happen to be blending at the time. The first one I had ruined a pot of leek soup intended for Thanksgiving dinner. This problem occurred after only three uses. In a fury, I contacted the company who replaced the machine. The new one lasted only four times before the same thing happened ruining a pot of curried carrot soup. At this rate it cost me about $25 per use. Get the $30 Cuisinart Smartstick. It has a far better design and for the price even if it breaks down it's still a better value than the ghastly Kitchen Aid."

How'd I live without it?!? January 4, 2008
windmorn from Butte LaRose, LA

"I moved last year and my food processor got left behind. I needed it before Christmas to grind cranberries so the search began. I didn't want to buy another cheapo so I started looking at Kitchenaid brand because I love my stand mixer. I also needed a hand mixer and when I saw this package "I thought what a deal!" I ordered it and don't know how I lived without it. I made pancakes that called for whipped egg whites - less than a minute. My gravy at Christmas separated for some reason so I got out the blender - no more separated gravy. Lumps? - never again! For my New Year's resolution to lose weight I made my own blended yogurt with frozed berries yesterday without a problem and tasted much better than store bought. I can't wait to try making mayo!"

Fergy from New York City

"Several years ago I bought a Kitchen Aid Immersion Blender from Chefs and still to this day it works as if it were new. I have had no complaints with the blender or the attachments. It works well with all various temperatures and is a significant part of my cooking. I will always buy Kitchen Aid because of the craftmanship that the products display. The blender is not only handy to use but simple."

A Superior Product !!! November 30, 2007
Gary from London, Ohio

"I have owned several other similar products. I have never been fully satisfied until I first used the KitchenAid 300.
From the first moment the power, quality, and the controls set it apart. The basic functions are more than sufficient reason to buy this model, the added accesories give it a tremendous increase in functionality. I fully expect it will handle any challange I give it for years to come. I give this model 5 stars"

"I concur. One would be very surprised of the many uses this small product has. It is a real time saver for small, quick and even to free up a larger task. After using it the first time, you'll truly wonder why you never had one before and now thrilled you do. Inclusive, the Kitchen Aid brand reputation and reliability stands for itself."

Powerful Kitchen Tool November 19, 2007
PatL from Atlanta GA

"This is a great product. Being able to puree soup right in the pot -- that alone makes it a worthwhile purchase. It makes short work (and neat) of ceasar and other salad dressings, The independent review I read tested five immerision blenders. The hardest task was making pesto -- the KitchenAid did the job."

A mighty valuable and versitile tool. November 18, 2007
Irene from Pennsylvania

"I bought this immersion blender because I had missed my old stick blender whose motor burned up. I had no idea what a good machine this was! First of all, it is powerful and efficient. I can blend up a pot of vegetable soup into a lovely puree that is not baby food texture because the blending is so complete as the food keeps moving. Second, it is so easy to clean because of the removable blade stick. Finally, the attachments are fantastic. The chopper is larger than a mini and much more useful because of the size and the whip can instantly do the work when you only need 2 or 3 eggwhites in a hurry. The assembly is slick and easy and the work it does is exceptional! It can take the place of quite a few other tools. One of the few items I take along to summer vacation home."

ooh, nice November 16, 2007
Lisa from Corona, CA

"I have been seeing immersion blenders for several years, and just recently broke down and got one. How nice! I used it right after Halloween, when I cooked down my pumpkin. This was previously a very tedious, messy job involving many batches in my blender. Yuck! With the immersion blender, it was easy, and actually fun. I've also smoothed out gravy. Much better! I'm really looking forward to putting it to the test over Thanksgiving!"

Mmmmm from Fort Worth, Texas

"I don't know how I lived without this devise so long! Haven't used the chopper attachment but use it constantly for blending and pureeing... everything. Haven't used the blender since getting this, use the food processor less too. It's not a kitchen gadget you get, use for a while and put away for good, the more you use it the more you think to use it for and the more you want to use it for recipes you had previously put aside due to the hassle of using the blender.
It's amazingly simple to clean up too! Simply put the work end in the dishwasher if it doesn't just rinse clean under the facet. The thought of how hard I used to work to clean the blender and the inevitable mess it left on the count makes me shake my head now.
Showed a friend how it works making creamed soup and they use their formerly unused one all the time now.
Only con I find is the steel end can scratch non-stick pans, needs a "soft" end cap on it."

Gotta have it! November 10, 2007
babypillar from Buffalo, NY

"I have looked at it, drooled over it, and wished that I had it on so many different occasions. Now that I have it I have found that it does everything I thought it would and then some. The blender has gone in the cabinet and the KitchenAid Immerson Blender hangs in it's handy little sack right next to the stove. I use it to puree ingredients for my soups, mix countless concoctions and to put together the fresh ingredients for my favorite homemade spaghetti sauce. Between my KitchenAid stand mixer and this, I am pretty well set for the holiday rush. If you're thinking about buying it...do yourself a favor...stop thinking and buy! You won't be sorry."
