Waring Flip Waffler
September 22, 2008 farmerettefrom Brownsville, OR
"I have recommended this waffle maker to all of my family members and friends. The operation of the unit is quite simple, easy to clean and makes excellent Belgian Waffles every time. My husband loves waffles, so it's used several times a week with no complaints. When he wants "crispier" waffles I simply adjust the dial of the heating element! All of the grandchildren request waffles for breakfast when they are visiting as they love to flip it over and eat the waffle they have made."

Restaurant quality at home!!
June 3, 2008 flowergardinerfrom Richmond, IN
"My husband loves waffles and was impressed with the hotel breakfast bars that allow you to make your own waffles. Not alot of restaurants serve waffles anymore, so when I saw this one on sale, I had to get it for him. It's so easy to use, the instruction manual should be entitled "Waffles for Dummies". It's non-stick coating is super easy to clean and I love the spill tray underneath. It turns out (literally) perfect waffles everytime. The adjustable setting allows each one to have made-to-order crispness. It really couldn't be more simple to operate and anyone could pretty much figure out how to operate it without the manual. Just plug in, adjust the temp to your liking, flip the switch, you are alerted when it's ready, fill, then close the lid and rotate handle. Wait for the beep and "Voila!", perfect restaurant quality waffles, every time!"

You will NEVER go back to any other waffle iron!
October 8, 2007 Curlytopfrom Central Illinois
"This is the at-home-version of the professional flip Belgium waffle iron you've seen in the upscale hotels, but at a fraction of the cost. It is a no-brainer to work. There are "beep" cues when it is hot enough, when to turn it and when it is finished. A measuring cup is included so you do not put too much batter on the iron. You can use the recipies that are included or use your own. While it has a non-stick finish, I like to use a light cooking spray between waffles. This is the fastest waffle iron so, be prepared to keep them warm or have folks make their own. Clean-up is a breeze and you'll never regret this purchase."

Fast & Fabulous
October 8, 2007 DoughGirlfrom Wilson, NC
"Excellent waffles -- light, tender , crisp on outside, and best of all, fast off the iron for feeding a hungry family. Nonstick surface requires no spraying, even when berries or nuts are added to waffle mix."

Waffles Never Tasted So Good
June 29, 2009 luckywifetoofrom Westminster, MD
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, quality
"When we recently purchased our new home with a fancy kitchen, my husband, the cook of the family, mentioned that he would like to add a waffle iron to his arsenal of cooking equipment. So, when father's day was approaching, I didn't have to think too hard about what to get him. He loved the gift so much that he made breakfast for us father's day morning! The waffle iron comes with a measuring cup to prevent overfilling and is so easy to operate that our 10-year-old son can make his own waffles. I also recommend the pancake and waffle flour available through Chefs."

Great Waffles! No fail gift for anyone!
February 8, 2009 AnnAfrom Bethesda, MD
Pros: light-weight easy to store easy to clean Cons: you'll eat too many waffles
"My husband likes the "flip" waffle makers you find in hotels, so he got one for Christmas. I didn't really expect much, but was I surprised. First of all, it makes GREAT WAFFLES. But, important to me, it's lightweight and easy to store. Cleaning is easy (as in I brush away loose crumbs and drips usually just flake off).
I normally use a prepared mix (like Carbons or Stonewalls) and find that I get a really light crisp waffle by making sure that I don't dilly dally when pouring the mixture onto the iron and I use milk instead of water. Also, I have made one recipe from the little instruction pamphlet that came with the waffle iron. The recipe called for yeast, and it made 10 of the lightest waffles you can imagine.
Warning - another reviewer commented she used nuts and berries in her batter. When I used blueberries, they stuck to the surface and were a pain to clean. I don't know what she did to keep it from sticking."

Easy & delicious waffles
January 31, 2009 BakingBettyfrom Memphis, TN
Pros: simple operation, beeps when waffles are done Cons: difficult to clean
"Recieved this a few weeks ago & have used it several times already! This waffle maker takes the guesswork out of making perfect waffles - It beeps when preheated to the temperature you've selected & also beeps when your waffles have finished cooking (which has always been the tricky part for me!) The only thing that could be improved is to make the cooking plates removeable so they could be washed. Overall we're very satisfied with our purchase!"

Excellent waffle maker
January 30, 2009 Mainecheffrom Castine, ME
"After using this product at a number of hotels, we finally decided to buy one of our own. We love Belgian waffles, but had troubles removing waffles from traditional waffle makers. The rotary feature eliminates that problem. When the Ready light turns on, the waffle is done and almost pops out of the waffle maker. Even though we've downsized, this is one appliance we keep handy!"

One of my best purchases ever
January 30, 2009 Jasminefrom Bloomfield Hills, MI
Pros: good value
"I love waffles so when I saw this product with such an extraordinary price I just had to try it. It has performed beyond my wildest dreams. So much so, that I have given it as a gift to those I love and their responses have been the same as mine. It is so easy to use and the waffles are delicious! In this day and age with so many products being so disappointing, it is a joy to have one such as this."

I love my waffle maker!
January 30, 2009 squishtlizfrom CT
"This waffle maker was a little bit of a splurge for us as we're only a two person household, but despite the fact that it's not an appliance one uses daily, it is one of our favorites! It has a darkness setting, a timer that lets you know when they're done, and a measuring cup to make sure you don't get a wimpy waffle. We always make a large batch of batter and take all the extras and freeze them so we can have beautiful tasty waffles even on early mornings just by popping them in the toaster oven! No more sad little store waffles for us! Buy this and enjoy your new waffle maker for years!"

A Disappointment

Best waffle iron I have used.
January 24, 2009 Pearlfrom Port Orchard, WA
Pros: cooks quicky and cleanup is a breeze.
"I live alone and when I purchased this, I assumed it would be adequate for just one person. However, I have had guests and it performs beautifully. The waffles come out perfectly and cook quickly, so everyone was happy. There is a much more expensive version but I can't imagine it being that much better than the Waring. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a small family or a bunch."

Yay! Belgium Waffles at Home!
January 24, 2009 ladyBfrom Philadelphia
"I have tried other waffle makers over the years, but none has done as good a job as the Waring. My only caveat is that it seems to take more batter than expected and the recipe that comes with it requires the use of yeast which would make it a hassle rather than a quick breakfast. (I haven't tried that yet.) The mix sold by Chefs is really delicious and quick to make. Get that along with the Waffler and you will be a happy cook!"

Makes Great Waffles
January 24, 2009 Wafflerofrom Oakland, CA
"I have been making "Sunday Waffles" for years, so when my Itallian Belgian Waffle iron finally gave out, I decided to take a step up to a "pro" model.
The Waring Flip does anything that one would like. My old iron took 4 min per waffle, this does a better job in less time.
By the time I made my third waffle, the iron was cured and working great.
One caviate, the measuring cup that comes with it is a great idea, a little messy, and not very accurate. The fill here line is too much batter for normal consistancy, use a little less."

Best waffller ever
January 24, 2009 Pemcorfrom Brooklyn, NY
Pros: easy to clean., priced right. Cons: it's not free!
"I have owned a number of wafflers over my many years. I love my waffles and insist on the best irons. This waffle iron was not the most expensive I have ever bought but by far the best. I have seen it advertised all over TV and it performs just as advertised. It is always refreshing and so satisfying to realize a product works as advertised. An excellent choice."

Love those Belgian Waffles!
January 24, 2009 AZCheffrom Fountain Hills, AZ
"The Waring Flip Waffler is so easy to use - and it produces perfectly shaped, melt-in-your mouth Belgian Waffles. This great little machine has made waffle lovers of the two of us. Waffles are a great weekend and holiday breakfast treat. We especially love them with warm pure maple syrup.
And, Chefs is offering this gem On Sale!
And, I agree with the other 5 Star reviews - it produces top quality waffles and is very easy to clean. Enjoy!!"
