THIS WAS AN EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT TO MYSELF. OVER THE YEARS I HAVE USED AND WORN OUT 2 MEAT GRINDERS, THE WARING IS STRONGLY BUILT, EASY TO CLEAN AND USE. I MAKE DIRTY RICE DRESSING FOR ALL OF THE HOLIDAYS AND THERE IS LOTS OF GRINDING REQUIRED, GIZZARDS, RAW VEGETABLES SUCH AS CELERY, ONIONS, GARLIC AND BELL PEPPERS. THE WARING GRINDER HAD THEM DONE IN RECORD TIME.
IT MAKES SHORT WORK OF CHILI GROUND MEAT, HAVE NOT MADE SAUSAGE YET, BUT LOOKING FORWARD TO THE EXPERIENCE.

I have used many different types of meat grinder in my life: manual hand crank models, stand alone models, and attachment models that go on your stand mixer.
This is by far the most powerful unit I have ever used.
It will grind pounds and pounds of meat for hamburger or sausage in a matter of minutes without getting bogged down by the fine gristle that will stop most other units. It is a quality made grinder that is a pleasure to use. I can't wait to make my holiday kielbosa!!!!

This is my very first electric food grinder, and it really works!!
It's fast powerful, sturdy and reliable. I love it!!!
I've already used it to grind meat for meatloaf, meatballs and
just plain spaghetti sauce with meat.
It quickly and powerfully grinds all types of meat for some of your favorite dishes!
Has sturdy stainless steel housing, all-cast-metal hopper,
cutting plates and blade.
Reverse switch helps eliminate jam-ups. Also makes saussages with the saussage stuffer! Great buy!

We have ground meat with everything from a manual hand crank grinder, commercial Hobart and Kitchenaid Pro Mixer with meat grinder attachment. The Waring is the best. It grinds quickly and easily. We ground 100 lbs. of chuck and serloin and it performed perfectly without clogging. I wish we had purchased this years ago. The motor is substantial and the base never even got hot to the touch. The reverse switch is a great feature for unclogging but we didn't even need it. The unit is well designed and relatively easy to clean.

Used this grinder twice so far. It grinds up meat very good. Reason for 4 stars is that it is very loud. I've used heavier duty meat grinders at my mother's restaurant that aren't nearly as loud as this is. As I said it does grind up the meat very good. The reverse function is also a plus. You do have to make sure you wash and dry all parts immediately after using otherwise you risk having the metal blades rust.

I was amazed at how easy the machine was to use. It looked daunting at first, but the directions were clear and simple.
My first task was an old roast from the freezer. The ground meat that came out of it was so wonderful! It made the leanest and tastiest hamburgers ever.
