Wusthof Classic Super Slicer : The 10" extra-long, narrow blade has a round tip and hollow-ground scalloped edge to slice quickly without crushing or tearing. Ideal for boneless meat or fish, a large, crusty artisan loaf, or a basketful of summer tomatoes. Unlike serrated edges, it can be resharpened using a steel. About Wusthof Classic: Precision-forged blades of Wusthof's own high-carbon, stain-resistant steel alloy, for a lasting edge that is easy to resharpen. Distinctive bolster prevents your hand from slipping onto the blade. Handle is a virtually indestructible composite, buffed by hand for a smooth finish and triple-riveted to the full tang for optimum strength and balance. Dishwasher safe, but hand-washing is recommended. Made in Solingen, Germany.

Best Christmas Gift Given AND Received

After I used the serrated knife that my mother-in-law was using on her bread, I decided that she needed 1) A longer knife and 2) A knife that won't tear the bread as she slices. This knife was perfect! She loves it! She said that even when her bread is fresh, soft and warm this knife sliced through it with no crushing, tearing or crumbling. Scoring big points with a mother-in-law is always a good thing! Then after seeing how much I liked this knife, my wife got one for me for Christmas! So far I haven't found anything it doesn't slice well. Thanks for carrying this hard-to-find knife, Chefs.

Best Knife Ever

After buying the "good" knives as gifts for others, I finally decided to begin my own collection. This is the 4th Wusthof knife I have purchased and it is the best! It cuts through a bagle as if it were air and it cuts a ripe tomato into very thin slices, leaving the slices unbruised. This is the most versatile knife I have ever owned!
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, balanced, quality, multi-purpose, construction, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, Ergonomic handle, Functional/Useful

This is a very sharp knife. Slices tomatos paper thin without smashing them and cuts right through lemon seeds.

Very Worthy Knife

I've been using this knife for nine years and I couldn't do without it any more. It easily slices crusty bread, ripe tomatoes, and roasted meat. It's especially great to have around when all your other knives are dull, and you don't have the time or inclination to sharpen them (or worse yet, bring them out to be sharpened).
