The pounder fits the hand very well, the weight helps the job go faster. Changing the head only takes a few seconds, just unscrew and flip. Cleaning is easy, I wash it by hand, hot soapy water and a sponge, rinse and dry. It works well on all meats so far and does a great job on nuts and cookies to make crumbs. It is attractive and looks like a piece of art.

I have used this every day since it arrived.
I was thrilled with the weight it makes quick work of chicken breasts. I was even more excited when I realized it was double-sided and was an easy screw off to switch sides flat or tined.
It stores easily in my gadget drawer since I can take it apart and lay it flat. I am glad I made the purchase in a higher end product that will not fall apart.

I really love this product. I first saw something like this on Kitchen Boss and my wooden one was not working out. When I received this I was able to slice through a checken breast and then pound it out to a cutlet. I would love to see every cook get this product. It is awesome!

Heavy-duty product. Great hand feel & weight. I have also used it to break up ice cubes that have frozen together. It would also be great to crack pepper corns (in a zip bag).

You spend lots of money on items that do not hold up, so spend (just a little more) and get the best you can buy. This pounder has weight behind it and you are able to create even more yummy dishes by using it. Well worth the price.

We use this almost daily for any kind of meat as well as garlic, black pepper, or anything else that needs cracking or crunching. Actually bought a 2nd one so I don't need to reverse the head. Works great!

I love this tool. I like to eat my chicken flattened and marinated. This tool feels good in my hand and is weighty enough to pummel my chicken thoroughly.
I prefer the perforating side which exhibits sharp and strong points. Remember to wear an apron because once you get started there will be chicken juices spraying everywhere. So when someone tells you to go pound sand - get this tool and pound your chicken instead. And when your done throw it in the diswasher!

When you first lift this piece of equipment you will be amazed at its comfortatble grip handle and ease of use. The weight of the pounder does all the work. I use it for tapping garlic cloves to remove the skins and reduce the clove to a paste for quick use in sauces or dressings. This is one of the best I have found.

this was a gift, but was needed on Christmas eve, and man, was it handy. Really wonderful piece of equipment, well-made, versatile. My husband does all the cooking - he was so impressed with this and the breading trays, which he also used. CHEF to the rescue!!

IN OUR AREA, BEEF IS HIT OR MISS AS TO WHETHER IT WILL BE TENDER OR FLAVORFUL...EVEN THE MORE EXPENSIVE BEEF. I USED THE MEAT POUNDER ON A RIBEYE AND WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE TENDERNESS AND FORTUNATELY IT WAS ALSO TASTY. I WILL USE IT A LOT.

Bought specifically to make Chicken Marsala. Used right away, and the Marsala was phenominal. Gave me precise control. One of my best tools since it allows even flattening of the chicken or whatever you're making. I expect to use it with any meat we need flattened. I'll use it to crush nuts and other spices in a bag as well. I've looked at a lot, and this is the only one I'll ever need.

CHEFS stainless steel meat pounder is a welcome addition to my kitchen. It is actually two meat pounders in one, with a toothed side and a smooth side. It is well balanced and easy to use, pounding chicken fillets flat or tenderizing steaks without cutting into the meat, and then cleaning up easily. I would highly recommend this kitchen implement for everyone's kitchen.

I've grown tired of slogging through tough steaks, of which there are so many in the world. This meat pounder is a slick and rather handsome item, all stainless steel and quality polymers. This unit is head-and-shoulders better than the aluminum or wood (are you serious!?) tenderizing hammers you'll find at the supermarket. The heavy part is a solid stainless casting, beautifully polished and removable. So far, it's the only part I've found need to toss into the dishwasher. It's reversible with a smooth side for flattening cutlets and a spiked side for beating the tough out of other meats. You can also hammer on a particularly intransigent tri-tip with the edge. A first rate implement that's making up for a second-rate set of choppers!

I used to tire trying to use wooden or aluminum pounders with only mediocre results. Now in jig time have great tenderized meats. Great for spreading crumbs on the meat after dipping in egg/spice mix and pounding crumbs in place ready for frying.
