does the job within reason June 4, 2008
bdiane from Coshocton, OH

"easy to use, but you need to keep your cheese blocks within a small to medium size block. I cut the big blocks in half or fourths with a cheese knife. Then I use this slicer to cut them into small servings. It is easy to clean and storage is minimum. It is a safe way to cut cheese for those party cheese trays."

Not so great April 18, 2008
Lebries from Washington

"It won't cut big blocks of cheese like Tillammok, which is why I bought it. It does ok with a less harder cheese, but does not do to well with a softer cheese. When you cut with it the blade seems to slide to the right not giving a perfect cut of cheese. It sets in my drawer unused. I still perfer a cheese knife to this thing."

Best in the World! April 12, 2008
Mspoetess from Illinois

"I love this! It won't break or yield wavy slices as do wire types that get flimsy and break with age. This is easy to use, easy to clean with no worry of rust, and stores easily as the blade is placed below surface when not in use. I wish I had bought it long ago!"

Not for BIg Blocks of Cheese March 10, 2008
KevinSantaCruz from Santa Cruz, CA

"I was looking for something sturdy enough to slice big blocks of cheese (e.g. 2 lb. Tillamook), and thought this would do the trick. However, although it does OK on smaller blocks, the blade is not stiff / sturdy enough to cut through larger blocks of cheese. Back to using my large serrated bread knife (still the best "cheese slicer" I've come up with)."

A great hit! November 17, 2007
knortz from Delray Beach, Fl

"The cheese slicer pictured above which I had originally purchased for myself was admired by my house guests recently so that I decided to make them a present of it, and they were delighted as well. I also presented it as a wedding gift and the couple could not rave enough about this unusual, clever and easy to use cutter. My household would not be the same without it!"

Cheese Slicer October 5, 2007
miguel from Hagerstown, MD

"Very nice construction and easy to clean. This is a better way to cut firm and soft cheese than the wire cutters but hard cheese still requires a knife. Great for use on the table for a cheese and wine snack."
