"This set was just what the Dr. ordered - we had been limping along on a scanty mismatched set of flatware for years. I had one set of 8 place-settings I really liked but our occasional dinner club gatherings and occasional 12 people family occasions really needed additional matching pieces. I wanted to match my existing set as closely as possible, because I liked the patten, and since our dinner club can often number 18-22 diners. This set was very close in style and pattern and is a bit better quality. The design is simple but rather elegant in my opinion. It is sturdy, and the serving pieces are lovely and functional. I have not seen any of the rusting issues mentioned by the previous reviewer, and the shine is still on the pieces after 8-10 runs through the dishwasher It is a really good buy too - I looked at hundreds and hundreds of choices over the last few years! Time will tell how they hold up, but at this point I am considering getting a second set so I won't have to worry about matching it again some years down the road! My only possible complaint may be erroneous as well - it's possible the set was short ONE salad fork. I unpacked carefully but hurriedly, stackied everything then counted and loaded in the dishwasher for the first run, and I was short one fork. I can't' be entirely certain I didn't lose it (?) somewhere in the process."

Lovely/but....

"Purchased this about two years ago. It looks lovely on the table. However the knives get rust spots on the blades whenever they are placed in the dishwasher. Suggest washing and drying by hand. We use everyday. Daughters both want a set. This year we will be purchasing for one of our daughters."
